Calendar dates depend on chronology

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph

Genesis follows Abraham’s family, the covenant promises, Joseph’s years in Egypt and the family’s move there. Ages and intervals in the narrative do not by themselves establish an agreed BC date for every event.
Read Genesis 12–50

World history

No calendar alignment assigned

A contemporary world event is not assigned without a supported calendar date.

About these dates

The order of the biblical account is retained. A world-history event is not paired with it when the calendar alignment is not established.
